Project Description:

JR Engineering was retained by Engle Homes to provide engineering and surveying services for the development of Sorrel Ranch, the 200-acre parcel of land located approximately a mile north of Smoky Hill Road and E-470.  The project includes the development of single family and multifamily residential units. 

The property is located within the new E-470 overlay district, which required a Framework Development Plan, Contextual Site Plan, Final Plat and preparation of construction documents.  The project design includes the analysis and design of two major drainage-ways that traverse the site, the rerouting of Gun Club Road which currently is aligned along the western edge, the relocating of two major gas main conduits, a 30 foot depth boring and jacking beneath Gun Club Road for the sanitary sewer outfall which assisted in minimizing the exposure of numerous dry utilities and two water mains, and the design of a regional detention pond.
