Project Description:

JR Engineering was responsible for the topographic and design survey and trail design of a 12' Tier I Multi-use trail along Cottonwood Creek, from Current Inc. to Academy Boulevard .

The project included engineering design requiring 3 bridges, a low water crossing, a culvert crossing under Academy Boulevard , and an alignment to avoid wetlands and Preble's jumping mouse habitat.

The design encompassed grading plans, plan and profile, abutment design, and drainage. Coordination with Parks and Recreation, El Paso County , the trail team, CDOT, and the US Army Corp of Engineers was required.
