Prairie Center Development, Brighton, CO

Project Description:
Prairie Center is a 2,000-acre mixed-use development project that consists of commercial, single-family residential, multi-family, school sites, and several recreational facilities that include parks, lakes, trails, open space areas, and a wildlife sanctuary. The project is anticipated to include a major retail power center and a regional commercial area.
The project is located along the west side of I-76 between Bromley Lane and 128th Avenue . Tower Road borders the east side of the project and Chambers Road borders the west property line. The property has been annexed into the City of Brighton and is currently being processed for Official Development Plan and Zoning Approvals. JR Engineering has prepared annexation plats, ALTA surveys, the Master Drainage Study, Master Utility Study, non-potable water supply analysis, and infrastructure cost opinions and exhibits and costs for the Prairie Center Metropolitan District for budgeting and updates to their service plans.
Some of the key design elements that are involved with the development of this site are as follows:
-Over 7 miles of major arterial roadways in the first 2 phases including Bromley Lane, Buckley Road, Prairie Center Parkway, Tower Road, 144th Avenue and a portion of 136th Avenue.
-Major drainage improvements including storm sewer, channel improvements and retention facilities.
-Onsite and offsite sanitary sewer improvements including ¾ mile offsite sewer trunk.
-Onsite and offsite water improvements including ¾ mile offsite transmission line.
-Overhead electrical transmission lines owned by United Power.
-Underground gas and petroleum transmission lines throughout the site.
-Non-potable water distribution system.
-Pedestrian underpass
