Heritage Hills Marketplace, Douglas County, CO

Project Description:

Heritage Hills Marketplace is a 21.3 acre shopping center consisting of a 55,000 square foot anchor tenant, Safeway, and nine other retail pad sites. Other tenants include Taco Bell, Conoco, McDonalds, and Norwest Bank which all had to be approved by Douglas County.

Site improvements began with the moving of over one half of a million cubic yards of earth. Water and sewer main extensions were dwarfed in comparison to the 96-inch storm sewer that was utilized to realign an existing tributary to Willow Creek.

Detention facilities were provided downstream in a regional facility that is one of the few on-line detention ponds in the metro area. Nearly ten acres of parking lot providing 600 parking spaces and seven acres of landscaping complete the new center.
